The antibiotics taken orally are the standard treatment for Lyme disease and third stage will often require the intravenous route . Everyone will require an LLMD or LLND to establish the diagnosis and each doctor will have their own approach to which medication that is used. Many are left in the chronic stage of lyme disease due to the resistant survival forms of this disease having the possibility of mutating forms and antigenic changes as well. When standard modern medications did not alleviate the disabling symptoms of this disease patients resorted to using marijuana products. I have always been deathly against the use of cigarettes or pot but realized that there was a definite clinical benefit that I could not ignore.
My personal research on all the products lead me to learn about the works of Professor Raphael Mychoulam from Israel and Manuel Guzman from Spain and it became obviously clear to me that there was medical health benefits. I had quietly used the synthetic marijuana product Nabilone and Sesamet legally provided by the Federal and Provincial governments and had a DIN (drug identity number 1985) for the medical profession to legally prescribe. There has been a long standing taboo about the smoking of marijuana being very dangerous but the benefits outweigh any side effects and Dr. Sanjay Gupta M.D. FRCP (NEUROSURGEON) apolegized to America and the public about the negative comments he made about marijuana. Our research studies have indicated an antibiotic effect on Borelia burgdorferi spirochetes and biofilm in the test tube and further funding was recently issued to continue at New Haven University by Dr. Eva Sapi.
