Thomas Grier: "This is the same patient who was seronegative for Borrelia burgdorferi, but the FISH probe picked up many many images of Borrelia burgdorferi in the patient's brain and other organs. Here is an example where the patient is seronegative and fail to meet the IDSA guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. Yet he had a serious infection of his brain, heart, and other tissues and organs. He was not immunodeficient. Why do we allow IDSA guideline to limit treatment when autopsies are proving them wrong. The IDSA board is quite literally contributing to the deaths of suffering patients while owners of the Lyme-blood tests are making money on patents based on research paid for by tax-payers. Why can't our politicians see that this is wrong? "
