Thomas Grier MY MICROSCOPE
This is the latest dementia patient from Alan MacDonald.
This male patient from Cape Cod had been treated for 10 years with antibiotics. He died with serious dementia and paranoia. The only way the family could get an autopsy was to pay an outrageous $3,700 to reluctant pathologists.
The brain and CSF was harvested at a Funeral Home, but due to a thermostat malfunction at the Funeral Home, the body was not refrigerated but instead frozen solid complicating organ retrieval.
Upon testing the brain with two species-specific FISH probes, the patient's brain tested positive for Borrelia miyamotoi .
(DNA FISH Probe Beacons are as accurate and sensitive as PCR)
Fluorescence only happens when the probe encounters the exact matching DNA sequence it is searching for. Our probes are specific to each species and cross referenced at the CDC genomic reference lab where we determine our sequences are unique and a species signature.
All photos indicate the presence of Borrelia miyamotoi. The extremely bright illuminations are intact classical spiral forms that out shine the background.
